LTL?
Yes.
Got reweigh?
Like most carriers, you have some, but want more revenues for less effort.
Why is reweigh such a hot topic in the LTL industry?
Revenues. Lots of them. As you well know, LTL freight charges have been on the honor system for decades. The shipper fills out the freight bill on where the shipment goes and what the freight weighs. In the fast paced process of getting the freight across the dock, there is no time to verify the weight. But most shippers do not have scales so they guess. And why guess heavy? So much of the freight shipped is under billed.
How can my forklift drivers have time to reweigh?
They don’t. The old way that is, with lines at the platform scales. But with forklift scales and wireless networks and Confirm software they scan the pro, lift the freight, and hit one button. That’s it. The weight goes directly to the back end software to adjust the invoice.
Who else is doing this?
Who isn’t? More LTL carriers have chosen Confirm than any other solution. Let us connect you with references of a similar size and coverage to your operation so they can tell you first hand. Whether you are a nationwide LTL carrier or a regionally focused LTL, Confirm is proven and tested in your size operation.
Our people are too busy to coordinate this kind of project, how can we roll out reweigh?
With the right partner you can. Using our nationwide installation and service network the scales are deployed by local experts that are state certified to put legal for trade scales into service in their area. We ship the scales and equipment (via your truck of course) directly to each terminal where they are installed on your existing forklift fleet.
We don’t have a wireless network, what do we do?
You call it. We guide your IT people through the equipment selection and installation, or we provide complete kits for each terminal and we coordinate installation of the wireless network components at the same time the scales are installed.
I have an existing wireless infrastructure, will it work with what we have?
98% chance, yes. If you have an 802.11b/g based network it is likely that we can configure and connect Confirm with the network you already have. If you are in the 2%, our network can run right beside with yours without interference.
I need to see it to believe it… show me the money… can I see it in action?
Call us. In most cases we will provide a demo of the system you can use for 30 days on your dock with your freight to see how easy it is to recapture lost revenues that could pay for the system in around 8 weeks.
